About Us
Established in 2020
The KaleidoHope Learning & Resource Center is a newly established 501(c)(3) with the philosophy to meet each person where they are and build a customized plan together with the student and their family to achieve their personal goals. We believe everyone has unique skills, talents and abilities that may need help to unlock, recognize and grow.
The KaleidoHope name stems from a combination of “kaleidoscope” and “hope”. Like a kaleidoscope, there are many different ways to see the picture and sometimes a small turn of the kaleidoscope brings a clearer and more appealing vision. At KaleidoHope, there is always another method to try and another path to consider – there is always Hope!
A cornerstone to KaleidoHope is the belief that everyone should have access to learning assistance and barrier resolution no matter their financial situation. We work with students and families to create a contribution plan if needed.

I have lived in the Bondurant Community for almost 35 years. My husband and I live in the country and have raised our 4 grown children here. I began my teaching career at Anderson Elementary, right here in town. My experience in public education includes being a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and reading interventionist. I am passionate about helping developing readers grow and succeed! The Orton-Gillingham technique works and has been the foundation of success for so many of my students over the years. It is a privilege to serve students and families in Bondurant and surrounding areas. I am very proud to be a part of the team bringing KaleidoHope Learning & Resource Center to our community.

Having grown up in Des Moines, my husband and I moved our 3 children to his hometown of Bondurant 17 years ago. My teaching career began in an early academic setting at a local private preschool for 7 years before moving to the public school setting in Des Moines. While In Des Moines, I was a math/reading interventionist and then transitioned to a classroom teacher. I have noticed the correlation between academic success with social emotional wellbeing and want to make sure that students and families are equipped with everything they need to be as successful as they can be both academically and socially. I would be honored to team with families and students to provide supports and resources through KaleidoHope Learning and Resource Center.
